Let's hope this message is only thing to go viral.
MTV has joined Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and the Kaiser Family Foundation to inform young people of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), which, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), affect one in four teenage girls.
MTV will dedicate significant on-air promotions to the GYT '09 - "Get Yourself Tested" - campaign during April, National STD Awareness Month.
To help prevent some of an estimated nearly 19 million new STDs from occurring each year, PPFA encourages people to visit one of their numerous health centers across the country.
